Things That Are None of Your Business

None of your business

Its very rare that I do a ranty post, but I’ve been sitting on this one for a little while now and recent events have made some of these even more relevant than before.

You’re probably noticing a great deal of irony in that title. I mean, bloggers put their lives on the internet for other people to see, so saying that certain things are none of your business seems a little contradictory, but its more about how people unnecessarily judge others based on these actions. To name a few:

How people spend their money

The main word in that being their.. I don’t know about you, but I work hard for every penny I earn, so when I treat myself to something, that’s my prerogative. I’m sick of hearing ‘you’re going on holiday AGAIN?!’ – you’re damn right I am, I’ve earnt this.

Other people’s beliefs

Ok, you might not agree with a person’s religion or political view, but they do, and that’s for them to decide. If they truly believe in something then good for them. It really peeves me when I see people trying to undermine other people’s beliefs, ugh.

How people dress

For starters, how does someone else’s outfit affect you? Um, it doesn’t. I know a lot of people believe in dressing ‘for your body type’ or dressing ‘age appropriately’, but if an outfit makes you feel good, then it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

What other people’s bodies look like

I’m sick of fat-shaming, skinny-shaming, telling people they need to look like this or that.. The human body is a fascinating thing, no matter what it looks like, and to be honest, if you’re judging someone based on something as trivial as that then I think you need to take a long look at yourself.

Not gonna lie, writing this was pretty cathartic.. And I don’t mean to be rude in any way, I just hate seeing these things done, whether its directed at me, or my friends, or anyone for that matter. None of it is fair.

  1. Tell it like it is, if the truth hurts let them hurt and go enjoy your vacation or even that new car you so deserve to drive!
