Spring Disneyland Paris Outfits

Tomorrow I am off to Disneyland Paris, eeek!!

So obviously I have to share what I’ll be wearing on this little excursion of mine, right?

Donald Duck Disneybound

First up, I’m gonna be Disneybounding as my favourite duck in this white midi from Asos and blue crop top. The ears were made by the lovely Maggie from Elephant and Mouse, and are inspired by Philharmagic Donald, and they’re so fluffy!! I’ve also added a little extra touch of Donald with my mini bow from Mickey Waffles!

Mermaid Princess

I’m also going to be twirling around the parks as a mermaid princess in this amazing tulle skirt! The seashell crop top was on I snagged in the Missguided sale last year and I love it; I actually love everything about this outfit!

If you’re going to be in the parks Thursday-Friday, now you know what to look for!

Friday Favourite Five – Mickey Ear Makers!

For me, nothing pulls together a Disney trip outfit more than the perfect pair of Mickey ears, and I’m a real sucker for a beautiful pair of handmade ones!

Today, I’m going to share five of my favourite creative beauties who make beautiful ears, some of which I already own and some of which I’m desperate for!

1. Le Ears

I first posted about Le Ears way back last year, and from that post blossomed a friendship with the lovely Nancy, who not only sent me a pair of her ears as a thank you for the feature, but also has been so kind to me and I was lucky enough to meet her back in January! She makes the most amazing range of custom ears!

2. Elephant and Mouse

Another ear pixie I’ve been so lucky to meet is Maggie! I bought a pair of her first ever ears, and have been obsessed ever since; she always has the cutest fabrics! We stayed in the same resort on my January WDW trip and I can honestly say she is just as lovely as her ears!

3. Queen Ursula UK

The most beautiful sparkly and sought after ears in all the realm! I’ve been waiting until I had a perfect design to make an order, and custom slots sell out quickly, but I’m poised and ready for the next shop opening and hoping I can snag a spot!

4. World of Wishes

My beautiful Disney friend Amy has just started making these beautiful wire ears, and I think they’re so pretty!

5. House of Mouse

I love how bright and coloured all of the ears from House of Mouse are, I just wish shipping to the UK wasn’t as expensive as the ears, waa!

Spring Favourites

In my almost 3 years of blogging (WHAT?!), I don’t think I’ve actually done a ‘favourites’ post!

So although the weather still hasn’t completely decided its spring yet, the brighter mornings and occasional blue skies and sunshine has got me feeling like we might just be going in the right direction towards summer, and there are a few things I’m loving right now, so I’m gonna share them!

Spring Favourites

Hollister lace skirt – I’m rarely one for brands like Hollister, but I stumbled across this little beauty on Asos and I’m so glad I did! The lace is so pretty, and it looks cute with or without tights making it perfect for the changing Spring temperatures.

Tone It Up mini resistance bands – you may have seen these in the set I featured in my fitness wishlist last month, and seeing as I caved and bought it, I’ve been loving everything about these, from the colour to the ease of adding them to my workouts!

MAC x Ellie Goulding lipstick in Without Your Love – remember how excited I was with my MAC Ellie Gouling haul back in January? Well I’m still just as in love with it now I was I was back then, and I’m really feeling this shade right now!

The Fitness Marshall – if you haven’t already seen one of these amazing dance workout videos on Youtube, check them out now. Ah-MAY-zing!

Nikki McWilliams custard cream purse – I bought this back in January, buts its now, when I want to use my cute little handbags that are too small for my big purse, that its really coming into its own.

The Comforter shower gel – I always feel a little late to the Lush party, and right now with our bathroom under refurb I’m pretty limited in my product usage, but I bought a bottle of this back in February and I’m only just getting round to using it! Its purply-pink, glittery and smells AMAZING, and foams up into pink bubbly goodness, yay!

What are you loving right now?

Working Wardrobe Dreams – The Heels

Comfortable heels are like the grail, right? For someone like me who could happily spend every day barefoot and basically only wear Converses, heels are a struggle enough before even considering the comfort factor, but I honestly wish I could be one of those fabulous women who effortlessly glide around in stilettos and pumps all day every day without a blister plaster in sight! Until then, I’ll just ogle over them..

heels

Top row: Showbiz heels from Asos, Yellow Pointed Court Shoes from New Look, Nero Flare mid heel from Topshop Bottom row: Pine Cone heels from Asos, Contrast Leather heels from Zara

Man I love shoes, aren’t they all so pretty? You might have noticed that I generally go for a pump style, and of course I love a bit of colour; I think shoes are such a great way to brighten up a boring-ish outfit.

I love how cute the little strap is on those gorgeous coral heels, and the abstract print on the Asos Pine Cone is so fun without being too garish. It also wouldn’t be one of my wishlists without a bit of yellow, would it? Going against my general dislike of open toes, the shiny gold heels of the Nero would make them perfect for heading straight from the office to dinner or drinks, and the teal/navy/orange combo leather is all kinds of perfect!

Are you happy in heels?

Changing with the Seasons: Winter to Spring

Its March 21st.. HELLO SPRING!

Ok, its still pretty cold right now, but Mr Sun has been poking his head out a lot more in the last few weeks, and despite having to still occasionally de-ice my car, I’m definitely starting to feel this Spring thing coming on.

So with the seasons changing, what else do we change?

SONY DSC

Scents

Say goodbye to cinnamon and winter spiced scented candles and hello to fresh floral fragrances. There’s also significantly less pumpkin spice and gingerbread smells coming from Starbucks.

Colours

Oh hi there pastels! As much as everyone rocks deep lipstick colours, the sunshine welcomes back the reign of pinks and corals, and the same goes for our clothes too.

Food

As the mince pies disappear from supermarket shelves, we obviously can’t wait for the return of Creme Eggs! Suddenly the warming soups we’ve turned to in winter are dropping off menus everywhere and being replaced with fresh salads and pastas.

Wardrobe

While we aren’t always lucky enough to put our warm jumpers away just yet, we can welcome back the idea of light layers. Of course we’re already thinking about our summer wardrobes at this point, so tights become every girls best friend as it gives us an excuse to wear those cute new dresses we snagged in the ASOS sale.

Home

Yay for fresh flowers, and excuse to buy pretty vases, am I right? Its also time to put away the extra blankets we’ve piled up on our bed over the winter months, and of course, with all this spring cleaning, we’ll be feeling like domestic goddesses!

Are you ready for Spring to begin? I know I am!

Another Fitness Wishlist

Its been a little while since I shared a wishlist with you, and you know they basically go one of two ways: Disney or fitness. Today is the latter!

Keeping fit is such a huge part of my life now, and I’m forever looking for new ways to stay motivated, whether it be new workout clothes, adding something new and different to my routine or finding some great new healthy recipes, and I’ve found myself once again making lists of things to blow my hard-earned cash on..

Wishlist

I love how colourful this one is too!

So first up we’ve for the Eco Yoga Towel from Yoga Design Lab, which is so beautiful and bright I fell in love! I know its not a proper yoga mat, but I’ve got one of them and I think this would be great to take down to the beach in the summer and I miss doing yoga so I think a new toy will get my butt back into gear with my inner self.

How cute is this pastel foam roller and band set from Tone It Up? You might be familiar with their Youtube workouts, but they also sell cute fitness gear! I’ve been thinking about getting my own foam roller for a while now, and this mint/coral combo is perfect! Another recovery item, after having issues with my knee for a few months now, I’m looking to get a trigger point massage stick in the near future.

Ok, another fitness craze that I’m kinda wanting to get into is the weighted hula hoop. Now I’ve always been awful at hula hooping, but I still wanna try it and I think this multi-coloured hoop is the prettiest!

A relatively new fitness brand to the scene, Pink Soda clothing is available from JD Sports, and I’m crushing on this mint/black reversible sports bra big time! Rounding out this wishlist, I’m a real sucker for a cookbook, and Get the Glow by Madeleine Shaw looks like its going to be packed with healthy, wholesome foodie goodness.

Are you gearing up for a summer of fitness fun? Don’t forget to follow my #YearOfFit series!

My First Makeup Revolution Haul

I’ve seen so many rave reviews about Makeup Revolution from beauty bloggers, I had to know what this hype was all about.

SONY DSC

I will be totally honest, I was a little dubious when I saw the prices. I’m not a makeup snob, but I’m a firm believer in getting what you pay for, and this stuff is cheap, hence my nerves, but when I turned to the twittersphere for advice and beauty bloggers from all over the country were telling me how much they loved the brand, I had to put my previous thoughts behind me and take the plunge.

And for all this, I paid £20 including postage. Umm..

SONY DSC

Ok, so the first thing I was told was an absolute must was a palette, and Mermaids vs Unicorns stood out because I love the name, and I love the colours. Green does not suit me, but there’s not too much of it, and blue is my jam so I was sold.

Application wise, the colours are an absolute dream; super soft and smooth and highly pigmented, and the colours stay true and hold really well over time. I don’t really like using the foam applicators normally, but it does help blend the colours well so I can’t complain!

SONY DSC

Self-confessed lipstick addict, I had to try at least one, and yes, that is a yellow lipstick, but it was on sale at 75p, I have no restraint when it comes to yellow. I wasn’t blown away by either of these, but I’m pretty fussy and considering they’re only £1, its not put me off buying again, although I’ll probably stick to darker shades.

SONY DSC

Foundation is the bane of my life; I am forever struggling to find a shade that suits me, so the idea of spending a lot of money on one that doesn’t work for me is not on the cards. I decided to try two different types, Ultra Face Base (£3) in FB 02 and Matte Effect (£2) in Ivory, and d’you know what? They both work for me! UFB is very lightweight but does a great job of evening out my skintone and giving a little shine to my skin, and Matte Effect is a bit heavier, but covers really well – I can’t believe I’m so happy with both of them!

Lastly, I bought The One Concealer and Awesome Double Flick thick and thin eyeliner pen. I do have dark circles under my eyes (curse of the lifetime glasses wearer), and normally I find the foundation just highlights them, so I finally decided to try a concealer to mask them a little better. The One has a soft feel to it with a creamy centre to give colour; its a little shiny, but once covered with foundation does the job! I’ve always wanted an eyeliner pen – they just look so much easier to use – so I opted for the Double Flick which has two ends of different thicknesses. I was worried the colour wouldn’t be as strong, but its super black and the fine tip allows so much detail, I’m so glad I bought it!

Overall, I’ve had to complete throw my idea of cheap makeup out the window, and I’m declaring my love of Makeup Revolution! I’ve already got a list of future purchases..

Join the revolution!

Working Wardrobe Dreams – The Little Black Dress

Believe it or not, I actually applied for an office job a few weeks ago.. But the interviews were last week and they didn’t even send me a polite rejection so that ends that one.

lbd

Left to right: T-Shirt Dress from Asos, Ribbed Dress with Lacing from h&m, Square Neck Skater Dress from Missguided, Cheryl Skater Dress from Boohoo, Black Frilly Mini Dress from River Island

But you can never go wrong with a little black dress, right?

Who would argue with Coco Chanel, eh? Ask any fashion designer, writer, blogger or quite frankly female what they think is the ultimate wardrobe staple is, and I think you’ll find the answer is pretty unanimous. Its stylish, effortless (or at least looks it!) and its versatile. With minor tinkering – a change of shoes or bag, some killer jewellery etc – you can go from office chic to cocktails with the girls without batting an eyelid.

Tights and pumps make any of these dresses a cute and comfortable office-worthy outfit, but ditch the flats for some fancy heels and a pretty clutch and you’re ready for an evening of networking, whether it be professional or social! I’m not sure I can pick a favourite of these five, but as they’re all under £40, I don’t see any reason why I’d have to choose, ha!

How do you style up your LBD?

Handmade Love #1 – Alice Vitrum

I love shopping handmade, and I love sharing my favourite handmade finds with people, so it only seemed to make sense that I should start a little series on them, right?

First up is the Etsy store of the lovely Charlotte, Alice Vitrum. I’ve been friends with Charlotte through Instagram for quite some time now, and admired her cute creations for ages, but it wasn’t until October that I finally could call one of them my own, and this chubby little charmer took up residence on my jewellery stand.

SONY DSC

I instantly fell in love, so when Charlotte started looking for a brand rep, I jumped at the chance, and in return I got sent two more beauties, themed from two of my favourite films, The Lion King and Tangled. As well as the designs being available in silver and bronze, some designs have a longer chain; my Tangled boat scene does and its perfect!

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

As well as adorable fandom jewellery, she also makes AMAZING embroidery hoops – you can see some of these on her Instagram (@alicevitrum), where you can often find sale items and discount codes, like 25% off using TY1100 – ends today!

January Sale Homeware Haul

Being away for the first half of January, I was a little late to the sale shopping game but totally ready to make up for lost time!

SONY DSC

The first bargains I stumbled upon were these amazing cushion covers from h&m, which I’d actually been eyeing up back in December when they were full price. Yes, ok, the text ones are Christmas themed, but I just love white and gold and they were £2(!!!) and the star print was £4, plus isn’t the point of January sales to buy cheap Christmas stuff?!

SONY DSC

I totally blame Kayleigh for my next set of purchases. I am a self-confessed stationery addict, so when she posted her pretty new planner on Instagram, I figured it was time for me to make a purchase. I looked around and decided on Kikki-K, a company I’ve been a little bit obsessed with for a while now, and guess what – they were having a sale! While I can be a sucker for pastels at times, yellow is my one true love, so of course seeing that most of the sale items were yellow just proved it was meant to be! As well as a planner, I got a set of 3 A5 notebooks, some of the cutest little notepads and – non-sale – a happy healthy habits box, which I’ll be reviewing separately once I’ve given it a go! Its all just too cute, I can’t wait to use it!

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

Last, but definitely by no means least, on Friday 29th I set my alarm for 6.45am in order to be awake for the elusive Nikki McWilliams biscuit sale. Psst.. go look at Nikki McWilliams and you’ll fall in love! In the biscuit sale, products with minor defects are sold off at low, low prices, along with discontinued bits and bobs, and stock flies out in minutes! For example, in the time it took me to add everything I wanted to my basket, three things had already sold out, waa! I did, however, still get some great bargains (and the two cushions I bought haven’t arrived yet) and I look forward to the next!

Did you hit the sales in January?

Friday Favourite Five – Winter Hats

Another Friday has rolled around, although after a week of being back at work properly its felt like forever since last Friday..

I’m really not enjoying this cold weather. I think because October-December was so mild, I didn’t get used to the cold before going away, and now I’ve been thrown into it since getting home, I’ve had no time to adjust or grow my winter wardrobe.

What I do love about this time of year though is winter hats. I like all sorts of hats really, but winter is the only time I really make the effort to wear them, probably because its more of a necessity than anything else! And thus..

1. The good ol’ fashioned beanie, but yellow, cos y’know..

SONY DSC

2. BAYMAX BEANIE

SONY DSC

3. This cutesy little Children In Need Pudsey hat

SONY DSC

4. Mickey Mouse pom-poms!

SONY DSC

5. In case a beanie is a little understated and I need full blown Minnie Mouse style..

SONY DSC

Are you a hat person?

MAC x Ellie Goulding

Have you ever seen a collaboration announced that just seemed so perfect it was made for you? Well that was me when I heard that music GODDESS Ellie Goulding was releasing a collection with makeup megastars MAC.

I waited and waited for the release, and as soon as I saw it online I rushed down to my nearest counter to check it out, only to be told that it wasn’t going to be stocked at most counters, only the major stores. Semi-heartbroken, I had to take the plunge and order online, having not seen the shades in person, but took a reassurance from the online return policy, praying I wouldn’t have to rely on it!

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

After waiting patiently (stupid me placed the order on Christmas Eve, so had to wait through several bank holidays), my goodies arrived and I fell in love. The packaging was classic MAC black, glossy, with EGs logo in rose gold; simple and clean. Out of the whole collection, which also included some palettes, brushes and other products, I chose both lipsticks, both Patentpolish lip pencils, lustre drops and powder blush compact.

SONY DSC

Top – Only You / Bottom – Without Your Love

Self-confessed lipstick addict that I am, I fell in love with them instantly. While the two shades are relatively similar, they are perfect light pinks for a natural look, and in a Cremesheen finish to give a little bit of gloss. I also love the fact that the logo is imprinted into the side of the stick itself, as well as on the tube.

SONY DSC

Top – Revved Up / Bottom – Innocent

I was unsure choosing the PatentPolish lip pencils as they were described as high-gloss, and I’m not a big gloss person, but I do love a pencil applicator so I couldn’t resist. In reality, I definitely wouldn’t described them as high gloss, but for me that was a plus! Innocent is very nude, offering just a touch of shine, whereas Revved Up is a more peachy colour – again, both very natural and pretty, and the twist up pencil is a big favourite of mine.

Top - I'll Hold My Breath bronzer / Middle - I'll Hold My Breath blush / Bottom - Pink Rebel Lustre Drops

Top – I’ll Hold My Breath bronzer / Middle – I’ll Hold My Breath blush / Bottom – Pink Rebel Lustre Drops

I rarely stray from lipstick and eye products when buying makeup as I don’t normally do the whole foundation, powder etc routine, but I was so taken with this collection that I felt it was worth branching out! I really love EGs style and her makeup is always on point, and because she is fair-skinned I felt I could trust the bronzer and blush without finding it to be too dark. I love the peachy shade of the blush and the bronzer is nice and light to apply so I don’t feel like I’m going from zero to orange in a single brush stroke, yay!

I also found a new love in the Lustre Drops in Pink Rebel; relative makeup novice that I am, I find myself lost with highlighters, but this blend so nicely and gives just a slight shimmer and brightness to my skin. The pinky shade is also great for brightening dark areas.

I think its pretty clear that I love this collection, even if you ignore how much I love Ellie.. It is by far my favourite MAC collection yet, I can’t believe it wasn’t made into a bigger deal and stocked on all counters, but that’s just me!

Do you have a favourite collection?

Disney Fashion: Dinoco Girl

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

So its been over 5 years since we were last at Disneyland, and probably the most exciting development since then is the addition of Cars Land. Yep, Radiator Springs is alive in California, and I needed an outfit to commemorate it!

I’ve actually had these checkered leggings for a year or two now, bought in an Asos sale for maybe £3, and they’ve just been sat in my wardrobe waiting for an occasion to be styled up, so once again I turned to Redbubble! Originally I wanted a Lightning McQueen shirt, but I couldn’t find one I liked enough, and in the process I stumbled across this Dinoco logo, which came in the perfect colour to match The King and his crew.

I am speed!

Reindeer Lovin’

Considering just how much I love Christmas, I’m a little surprised that I haven’t written more Christmas posts this last month, but I’ll admit I’ve been really looking forward to this one: my Christmas outfit!

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

I’ve basically lived in this outfit through December, but I’m still obsessed with it. Would you believe I bought this jumper back in July?! Well I did. I found it in the Missguided sale, I think I paid £2.50 for it, and its been waiting patiently in my wardrobe for Christmas to come around. I love it! Its super soft and despite being a crop top, surprisingly warm; I like to think of it as my non-ugly Christmas jumper!

The skirt is also an old favourite from Missguided, I fell in love with the cute little cloud print, and to Christmas the outfit up, my favourite plaid shirt from h&m.

What will you be wearing for Christmas?

Disney Fashion: Adventure is Out There

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

You can tell we’re fully into winter now because I’m styling these outfits to suit the colder weather!

This is an outfit I’m really excited about, because it was entirely inspired by my beautiful Up ears, which I featured in my post on my dream Mickey ears. After the feature, the lovely Nancy from Le Ears contacted me to say she wanted to gift me with the ears as a thank you, and from that we’ve become good friends and I’m really looking forward to meet her in Disneyland California!

Because I didn’t want to outshine the ears, I found this Wilderness Explorer t-shirt on Redbubble, and despite wearing jeans today, I think it’ll be a little warm for them in Anaheim!

What I’m wearing – Heroes

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

I don’t know what’s going on with my face here, I look super bored!

Well all loved the San Fransokyo locals when they appeared on our screens at the start of the year, and this Redbubble fan-art makes such a great skirt!

I’ll be wearing this to Epcot, when we’ll be dining at Teppan Edo – the same day we’ll be running the WDW 5K dressed as Honey and Baymax!

What I’m wearing – Tale As Old As Time

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

I love this dress – its from the original Black Milk Disney collection – but as its sleeveless, I was a little concerned about how to style it for colder seasons, until I stumbled upon the item of wearing it over a scoop neck crop-tee – also great for if you like to keep your shoulders/arms covered!

I’ll be wearing this to Hollywood Studios, home of Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage!

Boots from Missguided

We all know how much I love Tangled, right?! I adore this scarf, its so light and soft; its the whole inspiration for this outfit!

I’ll be wearing this on our last day in the Magic Kingdom, and on the journey to California.

What I’m wearing – Pooh and Friends

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

Can you tell the weather wasn’t exactly on my side for this shoot, ha! Sun in my eyes, wind in my hair..

Another of my favourite pieces from the new Black Milk Disney 2.0 collection are these adorable shorties, which were the inspiration for this outfit. I also adore my Pooh ear hair clips, which I bought in Tokyo Disneyland in July!

I’ll hopefully be wearing this outfit on the day we attempt the Four Park Challenge – so I can meet Pooh and friends in both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and maybe even the Animal Kingdom; they’re very busy!

What I’m wearing – Steamboat Willie

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

This outfit is essentially a compilation of a few of my favourite things: my favourite item from the new Black Milk Disney collection – the zoetrope skater skirt – and my favourite Mickey ears, which I bought in Disney World last August. The skirt depicts scenes from Steamboat Willie, which is particularly special because it was officially released on November 18th, marking Mickey Mouse’s birthday, but also my Dad’s!

This outfit is what I’ll be wearing to Hollywood Studios, especially to see Fantasmic!

#fitfordisney – A Fitness Lustlist

Happy, healthy Wednesday everyone, good day to you all!

Today I’ve put together what I like to call my fitness ‘lustlist’. Its sort of like a wishlist, except full of wonderfully expensive products that I could never justify spending the money on, and that’s ok, because I’m happy to admire them from a distance! Sure, if I won the lottery or something, they’d definitely be on my shopping list, but while I find them beautiful, I can live without them, I just thought it would be fun to share a few with you!

lustlist

First of all, there’s Rundies! Yes, as the name suggests, undies for running, kinda like day-of-the-week pants, but with different runs printed on them, cute right?! $65

Sweaty Betty is a fitness brand that prides itself with beautifully designed workout clothes, and the Chromo Run Tee (top centre) and Ultra Run Bra (bottom right) are no exceptions! £125 and £42

I’m also a sucker for a bit of Nike, which I think makes me a bit of a fitness snob, but hey ho! I’m not 100% sure why, but I kind of love the Pro Engineers Giraffe Training Tights (bottom left) and I love the colour and design of the Dri-Fit Knit Epic Crew Training Top! £50 and £47.99

We also know how much I love Fabletics, right? The Moorea Bra (centre) is such a nice change of design from regular sports bras, and comes in a few different colours too! £30 (or £22 for VIP)

And finally, despite my general favouritism for Nike running shoes, these Asics GT-1000 are such a lovely colour! £97

Quite a stunning selection right? Do you have a lustlist too?

xoxo

What I’m wearing – Dapper Dans

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

Jumper from French Connection (bought in an outlet, unavailable now)

Dapper Dans skirt from Redbubble

Boots from Missguided

I love the Dans, don’t you? A barber shop quartet, harmonising beautifully down Main Street USA, dressed in stripes and bowties – perfect! So when I discovered this skirt on Redbubble I fell in love; you might have seen it when I wrote about my favourite Redbubble buys.

I’ll, of course, be wearing this to the Magic Kingdom to hang out with the boys themselves!

°o°

Friday Favourite Five – Lipsticks

I have two weaknesses when it comes to makeup: nail varnish and lipstick, and today’s post is about the latter.

As a full-time wearer of glasses, there’s not a whole lot I can do with eye makeup (well, I can, but what’s the point when you can’t see behind my frames), so for me, lipstick is how I express myself. My collection spans from Boots Natural Collection to MAC, and I’m a real stickler for my favourite brands and shades, but here are just five of my favourites:

1. Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Standout

SONY DSC

I love matte lipsticks, and this Revlon collection boasts both great shades and a reasonable price; I have 5 out of 8 of them. It’s a deeper red, which is great for autumn looks or nights out, or for when you’re not in the mood for a brighter shade.

2. Barry M Green Goes Pink

SONY DSC

The only lipstick that you shouldn’t judge by its appearance, this clever little stick transforms to a different shade depending on the pH of your lips! For me, that’s normally a deep pink shade which suits me pretty well, and is also really long lasting, so I know if I’m wearing it on a night out I’m not gonna have to keep re-applying it after every drink.

3. Maybelline ColorSensational in Electric Orange

SONY DSC

My colouring actually lends itself to orange shades more than pinks, so I love this for when I want to be a bit more casual. Despite the name and appearance, it doesn’t go on very bright as its fairly sheer so looks fairly effortless, which is totally my style!

4. Beautifully Disney in Rosebud

SONY DSC

I’ve reviewed my Beautifully Disney collection before, but this little lipstick has earnt its place in this list too! As its only a touch darker than my natural lip colour, it gives a little more colour on days where I don’t feel like anything bolder, plus I love how mini it is!

5. MAC Wash And Dry in Steam Heat

SONY DSC

I will admit that the beautiful packaging of this swayed the vote slightly, but I do love MAC lipsticks! This is a classic red in a satin finish, there’s really nothing that can go wrong!

What are your favourite lipstick shades?

xoxo

What I’m wearing – Mermaid Girl

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

Coral Urban Mermaid crop top from Adorkable Apparel (now unavailable)

Mermaid skater dress from Soft Kitty Clothing

Boots from Missguided (now unavailable)

Who doesn’t love going mermaid-style?! A while back I actually featured both of these items on my Mermaid Wardrobe Wishlist!

I’ll be wearing this outfit in Disneyland California, for our dinner reservations at Ariel’s Grotto before World of Colour!

°o°

What I’m wearing – Vintage Minnie

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

Minnie Mouse is a total style icon, but so often her original looks are overlooked! This is an attempt to Disneybound a vintage look of hers, where she wears a blue skirt and a red pillbox-style hat with a daisy on top (which I’ll be attempting to make as well before my trip).

The skirt is one I made myself, yellow espadrilles were from New Look and the ears were from ASOS. I’ll be wearing this outfit to Disneyland in California, and I can’t wait to skip down Main Street USA and meet my favourite girl!

Clutch Loving

Any bag addicts in the house? *raises hand slowly*

I’ve always been a bag girl, going back as far as I can remember, and I’ve made a real effort in the last few years to clear out a lot of the collection I’ve hoarded since I was 11/12. With that in mind, I felt it only fair that, as an ‘adult’ now, I’m allowed to build up a slightly more grown-up collection of bags, and top of the list for ‘adult’ bags is the clutch.

While not practical for every occasion, a clutch is the perfect accessory for a night out, weekend stroll, lunch date; those times you just need somewhere to keep your phone and keys. The right clutch can make a good outfit great, and I’ve been building up a sweet little collection of them that are a little more ‘out there’..
